Yoga is the practice of quieting the mind. Yoga offers meditation and exercises to improve your flexibility and breathing, decrease stress and maintain your health. Yoga is based on the idea that the mind and body are one. Components of Yoga are proper breathing and a series of postures that stretch the body, relax the muscles and bring clarity to the mind. Yoga for Parents of addicted children (Y.P.A.C):
A Class for you, the Parent living the horrors of addiction
Drug and alcohol addiction affect the entire family unit. It is especially painful if it is your children that are the addicted ones. You feel that YOU caused the addiction, you RAISED the addict, you ENABLED the addiction, as a parent we beat ourselves up continually for their choices. We cannot force their healing, but we can heal ourselves, which can bring a healing energy to our homes.
Yoga is a science of body, breath and mind. Come and learn how to heal your “self” with gentle, restorative yoga postures and healing breath work. The class will be an hour and a half long, it will begin with an open discussion on how the science of yoga can help YOU heal, and will include time for meditation at the end of the class.
